Success and Wellbeing Services (SWS)
Free support for South Australian students
Success and Wellbeing Services (SWS) is a free, State Government funded support service available to eligible South Australian VET students. Support is available from the moment you enrol, throughout your training, and for up to 12 weeks after you complete your course.
SWS is designed to help you stay on track with your studies, overcome challenges, and achieve your goals no matter what life throws your way.
What is Success and Wellbeing Services?
Success and Wellbeing Services provides flexible, timely and confidential support tailored to your individual needs. If you access SWS, you’ll be connected with a dedicated Success and Wellbeing Coach who will work with you one-on-one to understand your situation and provide practical support.
This is a South Australian Government funded program, delivered in partnership with training providers, to ensure students receive the right support at the right timeregardless of personal, financial, health or family circumstances.
Life can be challenging and unpredictable. If you’re feeling overwhelmed or struggling during your training, you don’t have to manage it alone.

What support is available?
Every student’s journey is different, so SWS support is never one-size-fits-all. Your Success and Wellbeing Coach will work with you to identify what support will help you most.
Support may include:
Study skills and learning supportHelp to talk with trainers about reasonable adjustments or disability support needs Assistance managing financial stress and connections to relevant servicesSupport to access domestic and family violence servicesHelp finding or maintaining safe accommodationSupport for carers and access to carer servicesConnections to mental health services and ongoing wellbeing supportGuidance with managing difficult family or personal relationshipsHelp to work through transport or access issuesA listening ear and regular check-ins when you need themPlanning next steps, including job readiness and employment preparationSupport to identify and access the right services for your situationAnd much more – nothing is off limits.

All support provided through Success and Wellbeing Services is confidential, respectful and focused on your wellbeing and success. The goal is to remove barriers to learning so you can stay engaged, complete your training, and move confidently into work or further study.
