Certificate III in Fire Protection Inspection and Testing is now recognised on the Australian Apprenticeship Priority List under the Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupations. ANZSCO now recognises the diversity of fire inspection and testing technicians, identifying technicians under occupations sections of Electronic Instrument Trades Worker (Special Class), Fire Protection Equipment Technician, and Fire Protection Plumber.
Our technicians have been acknowledged and identified on the newly introduced Australian Apprenticeship Priority List (Opening and closing date: 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2025), this list offers financial incentives for eligible employers with new or existing employees with or without other qualifications to complete an apprenticeship under the Australian Apprenticeships Incentive System.Although we have not yet achieved specific funding for the training of the qualification except for in South Australia, the apprenticeship financial support provided for the qualifications nationally on the priority list covers most of the training costs.

Eligible Apprentices/employee incentive up to $5000 in 24 months.
To discuss eligibility, you will need to talk to an apprentice connect provider contracted by the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations to support the administration of the Incentive System. The course duration allows students up to 12 months to complete workplace tasks if all tasks are not completed during class sessions. The training and assessment rules for nationally recognised units/qualifications are available on training.gov.au. All registered training organisations develop their own training and assessment materials, which must meet these rules.
