RESTRICTED ELECTRICAL LICENCE TRAINING
Duration
4 Days Face to Face, 6 Months to complete
$2,350
Axiom Compliance Learning is proud to offer the appropriate training units for successful restricted electrical licence applications. Some States require a training permit to undertake Restricted Electrical Licence training. Please contact us if you need more information for state licence or permit requirements. Upon successful completion of your chosen training units, a nationally accredited Statement of attainment is issued. This certificate is required to apply for a restricted electrical licence in all Australian States. Performing electrical work unlicensed is illegal and carries a penalty up to $110,000 in some states. The purpose of the restricted electrical licence is to provide a means of allowing appropriately trained and competent workers to undertake the straightforward disconnection/reconnection of electrical equipment where that electrical work is incidental to the person’s principal function in the workplace. Once licensed, a worker must record the results of compliance testing in accordance with the electrical consumer safety act and regulation. Students will complete basic electrical principles online to prepare them for 4 days of face-to-face training. During the course, students will learn how to safely isolate and disconnect electrical apparatus and then complete mandatory testing prior to reconnecting and commissioning. After successfully completing the face-to-face component, students are required to complete a short on-the-job work experience component, as per training package requirements. After the course, we provide ongoing support, procedures and working templates for students to use in the workplace to ensure the work is completed to regulatory requirements. Remember, your life and the safety of others depend on electrical workers working to a high standard. We have been helping students successfully apply for restricted electrical licences for more than 15 years. Do not compromise your training with the so-called fast-track training alternatives.

The training and assessment rules for nationally recognised units/qualifications are available on training.gov.au. All registered training organisations develop their own training and assessment materials, which must meet these rules. When sourcing a training provider, it is always prudent to investigate whether the provider adheres to training package rules and standards for RTO’s 2015. Be aware that non-compliance may result in your qualification/certificate being cancelled, particularly where providers take shortcuts with assessment tasks. Axiom Compliance Learning adheres to the standards for RTO’s 2015, which is that we deliver quality training and assessment.
